Career Guidance, Training & Placement


For the purpose of Career Guidance, Training and Placement related activities for the students.

The following distinct cells and centres are functioning in the college.

  • Training and Placement Cell (TPC)
  • Industry–Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC)
  • Continuing Education Centre (CEC)

In addition to the above cells and centres, the Visiting Faculty Programme also serves the purpose of providing career guidance and essential training to improve the employability of students.

Career Guidance, Training & Placement committee management

The organizational structure of the Training and Placement Cell consists of an Executive Committee comprising representatives from both the faculty and student communities. The committee includes the Principal, the Training and Placement Officer, faculty representatives from each department, a Student Coordinator, and student representatives from each department.

Career Guidance & Placement Cell Activities

  • Review of eligible students and conduct contact sessions with eligible non-placed students.
  • The Training and Placement Officer (TPO) orients students on career opportunities in core companies and provides guidance on placement preparation.
  • The TPO interacts with industries for the placement of remaining eligible students and invites companies for campus recruitment drives.
  • The TPO, in coordination with the Heads of Departments, identifies students requiring soft skills training and forwards their details to the Staff Coordinator of the Finishing School Programme. Likewise, students requiring aptitude development sessions are provided with additional training through internal resources or external agencies.

Pre-Placement Training

  • Aptitude development training sessions are conducted for students across all academic programmes.
  • Organizations such as Mahindra, Anand Group, STEPS, and ASAP are engaged to conduct aptitude development programmes as part of the academic schedule.
  • Soft skills development sessions are organized for all programmes under the Finishing School initiative.
  • The cell conducts regular training programmes from the first year onwards to enhance students' reasoning ability, analytical skills, aptitude, communication skills, and soft skills, preparing them for competitive examinations, group discussions, and campus interviews.
  • Technical and domain-specific sessions are organized for students covering programming subjects such as C, Data Structures, Java, and core engineering subjects.

Career Counselling for Higher Studies

  • Career guidance programmes and motivational lectures by alumni, entrepreneurs, external experts, and faculty members are organized regularly.
  • The Placement Cell conducts seminars on higher education opportunities and aptitude development programmes for aspiring students.
  • Skill development programmes focusing on communicative English, computer literacy, and related employability skills are conducted periodically.
