COMPUTER ENGINEERING(HI)

The Computer Engineering (Hearing Impaired) Department of our Polytechnic College was established in 2012 with the vision of providing quality technical education exclusively for hearing-impaired students, empowering them to become skilled professionals and confident individuals in the world of technology.

The department offers a three-year Diploma in Computer Engineering with an annual intake of 15 students, along with 2 additional students admitted through lateral entry to the second year. The curriculum is specially designed to suit the learning needs of hearing-impaired students, focusing on hands-on training in programming, networking, database management, and modern IT tools that enhance employability and creativity.

The department provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, equipped with modern laboratories, ICT-enabled classrooms, and dedicated faculty trained in sign language and inclusive teaching techniques. Through innovative teaching practices and personalized guidance, students are encouraged to explore their potential and excel in academics and beyond.

We take great pride in maintaining 100% placement, with our graduates successfully working in reputed IT companies, government sectors, and pursuing higher studies. The students of this department also actively participate in sports, arts, and cultural events, proving their talent, determination, and all-round excellence.

Since its inception, the Computer Engineering (Hearing Impaired) Department has stood as a beacon of inclusion and empowerment, committed to transforming the lives of hearing-impaired students through education, skill development, and holistic growth.
