ASAP
Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), a joint initiative of General and Higher Education Departments, was launched with an objective to impart quality skill education to the students of Kerala. ASAP is also setting up Advanced Skill Development Centers (ASDCs) in Polytechnics, by providing infrastructure facility, level-specific skill training and internship opportunities to students with an objective of enhancing employability, upgrading the skills and creating entrepreneurship qualities
INDUSTRY ON CAMPUS (IOC)
IOC is an upcoming initiative of ASAP being set up as per AICTE norms in the Polytechnics of Kerala with an ultimate aim to develop and enhance the polytechnics and help them evolve into Mini Industries in the near future. The focal purpose of setting up of ASDC at Polytechnics is to set up industry relevant Laboratories which shall function as mini or micro industry, and promote the revolutionary concept of "Earn while you Learn" and "Learning through Experience".
As part of Industry on campus initiative by ASAP Kerala, working designs were allotted by Rollring industry .The students made the prefinished machine parts as directed by the company using the CNC lathe and CNC milling machine supplied by ASAP Kerala.
